Under the direct supervision of the Clubhouse Manager, monitors & maintains the Club’s facilities and equipment to preserve brand image, and maximize life of facilities and equipment and optimize safety and comfort of guests, while maintaining company standards.
Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the property; To provide daily cleaning and maintenance duties efficiently and thoroughly, in accordance with the specific duties listed below and as otherwise instructed, to provide the optimum venue and facilities for the enjoyment of the members and their guests.
Develops and implements the maintenance activities to cover all tasks to be completed on a regular basis, plans for emergency situations.
Practices regular preventative maintenance and upgrades as necessary all technical services & components of the building including electrical systems, mechanical systems, energy management systems, fire alarm/safety systems, grounds, and parking.
Maintains the department budget, in keeping with the Club business plan.
Ensures compliance with Club’s Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
Supports the service personnel in any way possible to enhance guest services.
Conducts fire alarm training and drills.
Additional Responsibilities Included but not limited to:
1. Ensure regular changing of exterior and interior garbage cans and ashtrays (outdoors) projects a clean image.
2. Regularly sweep (summer) or shovel and salt (winter) all access points to the building.
3. Spot clean all interior and exterior glass (windows and doors) as necessary.
4. Ensure interior lights are on or off as required, checking light bulbs daily for burnt outs and change as required.
5. Check washrooms and locker rooms every 2 hours to ensure cleanliness and stock levels of paper products are adequate (include halfway house).
6. Ensures all function physical requirements are completed as indicated on the daily function sheets (includes on-course).
8. Handles member complaints and advises supervisor immediately.
9. Dust interior of trophy cases and polish trophies as needed.
10. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas – laundry room, mechanical room, receiving, receiving hallways, shoe room and storage areas.
11. Communicate with the supervisor and manager regarding levels of supplies, cleaning and service.
12. Ensure water coolers are prepared for the following day in accordance with established procedures.
13. Perform other tasks as required.

Supervises: This position does not supervise any other employees.
Additional Requirements
Good judgement and interpersonal skills are required at all times. Training using required equipment (vacuum, leaf blower, internal machinery) is an asset. WHMIS certification is required within 30 days of starting in this position.
